Tom Carnes is a civil trial lawyer and mediator in Fredericksburg, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.
Tom's practice in business litigation includes a broad range of matters, ranging from contracts, to real estate litigation, to construction disputes, to competitive hiring and trade secret litigation. His family law practice includes, but is not limited to, collaborative divorce matters. His traditional family law practice includes all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, modification, and enforcement.
Tom also serves as a neutral third-party mediator in a broad range of business and family law matters.
Tom is from Denton, Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas with BBA and MBA degrees, and The University of Houston Law Center with a JD, magna cum laude.
Tom lives with his wife Beverly on their ranch outside of Fredericksburg, Texas, where they raise heritage breeds of sheep and together run Agarita Creek, A Texas Hill Country Ranch Retreat, a hospitality business. The Carnes are active in Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, where Tom is the mentor for the Education for Ministry program, sponsored by the School of Theology at the University of the South (Sewanee).
