Tom Carter began his legal career in Washington D.C. in 2007 before joining the Law Offices of Ronald T. Vera in Claremont as an Associate Attorney. At Vera & Barbosa, Law Offices Mr. Carter was privy to representation of local business, educational institutions, municipalities and non-profits in the position “Of Counsel”. In 2011, Mr. Carter garnered the position of General Counsel to NationalLink, an industry leader located in Glendora, California providing ATM solutions.

Mr. Carter successfully launched his own Business Law practice in 2014 representing businesses within the San Bernardino and Eastern Los Angeles Counties. Tom’s focus continues to be on Commercial Litigation, Employer Defense, Business Disputes, Business Transactions, Contracts, Business Formations (Startups) and more. • Responsible for handling all legal matters for one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing independent full service ATM companies • Regular duties include extensive litigation in state and federal court, drafting and executing many different contracts and agreements, engaging in business negotiations, drafting memoranda and demand letters, advising in employee matters, acquisition of competitors and small operator ATM portfolios • Handling disputed related to company property, including claims with the Contractors State License Board • Selecting and engaging with outside counsels on many class action lawsuits outside California • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations such as the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, the American’s with Disability Act • Participate in successful industry-wide effort to change redundant federal fee notice sticker requirement • Hands-on involvement with all other aspect of the business including client relations.
