Timothy Levins Allen
Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider, APCTIMOTHY L. ALLEN obtained his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in 2009 where he graduated with Honors in the Child, Family and Elder Law concentration. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication/Journalism from Virginia Tech in 2006, graduating magna cum laude, and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, journalism and mass media honor society. During law school, Tim conducted an internship with the Family Law Facilitator's Office at the South Bay and Central San Diego courthouses where he assisted self-represented parties with family law matters. Tim also served as a research assistant to Professor Janet M. Bowermaster (California Western) where he researched and analyzed the legislative intent and judicial interpretation of child custody statutes that include a presumption of custody in favor of the non-aggressor spouse in cases involving domestic violence. Tim joined the Firm as a law clerk as part of California Western's clinical internship program and became a Certified Law Clerk by the State Bar of California during his third year at California Western. In addition, Tim was on the Dean's List and earned an Academic Achievement Award for his case note discussing the discord between the California Legislature's constitutional duty to promote the education of its citizenry through compulsory education laws and the absence of regulatory oversight of home schooling in California.
