Todd Ungerecht graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane with degrees in Political Science and History in 1987, and he went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Gonzaga School of Law in 1990.
After law school, Todd worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney with the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney's office in Pasco, Washington, prosecuting misdemeanors and was appointed Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, providing advice to the Board of Franklin County Commissioners as well as other county elected officials on local civil matters. He also has several years of experience working in small private law practice, handling a variety of estate planning, family law, landlord/tenant and insurance defense and criminal defense cases.
Todd also has substantial experience as an attorney and counsel in the legislative and executive branches of the federal government, serving in roles of increasing levels of responsibility, including assisting Members of Congress and Senators on natural resources policies and legislation and ethics rules and investigations, advising the Chairman and Ranking Members of two major U.S. House Committees and assisting supervision of a large committee staff and budget.
Todd is now a solo law practice in Boise and Meridian, Idaho. He is admitted to the Idaho State Bar, the Washington State Bar Association, and U.S. District Court of Idaho. He utilizes legal expertise to assist clients with estate planning, family law and other matters and his government affairs experience to consult clients on Northwest natural resources and energy issues.
