Valery Cury
Originally from the Dominican Republic, where I obtained my first Law Degree at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), I came to the United States and obtained my Master in Laws from Brooklyn Law School’s program for Foreign-Trained Attorneys. I sat for the New York State Bar Exam and became a Licensed Attorney in the state of Connecticut specializing in immigration law.
Most of my practice consists in representing clients in affirmative cases. The majority of these cases are Provisional Waivers, Fraud waivers, Family-Based Petitions, Consular Processing, Visa Extensions, Changes of Status, Defensive and Affirmative Asylum, marriage-based Adjustment of Status, TPS, J1 waivers, Replacement of Green Cards, DACA, Removal of Conditions on Green Cards, Naturalization, FOIA and Military Parole.
I’m a current member of the Dominican Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA), and New York City Bar Association (NYCBA). I am also a volunteer for Dominicanos USA (DUSA) at their Citizenship Application Assistance Events.
