- Q. Husband never did any community service as ordered by the court
- A: If the court deems his failure to complete public service employment as being willful he faces the imposition of jail. Counsel can assist him in buying extra time to comply or possibly show that the failure was not willful but the of other factors which might mitigate the punishment imposed.
- Q. Can I get a charge of driving with a suspended license plate thrown out if I show proof of insurance prior to the stop?
- A: Unfortunately, law enforcement often times runs registration numbers to determine license validity and compliance issues. While after-acquisition and/or compliance is not a complete defense, in most counties I practice in an infraction like yours would be dismissed for “compliance”. I hope this assists you.
