Will Maxey, a trial attorney, dedicates his practice to handling personal injury and wrongful death cases. A native of Horry County and a lifelong South Carolinian, Will earned his B.A. in English Literature from Clemson University and obtained his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
While in law school, Will's passion for representing injured individuals against insurance companies and corporations led him to serve as the president of the student chapter of the South Carolina Association for Justice. This organization, comprising plaintiff's attorneys in South Carolina, is committed to safeguarding individuals' rights to a civil trial by jury and ensuring fairness in the state's civil justice system.
Upon graduating from law school and gaining admission to the South Carolina Bar, Will served as an assistant solicitor. In this role, he successfully tried multiple jury trials to verdict and handled a diverse range of cases, from driving under the influence to drug trafficking. Transitioning from prosecution, Will applied his legal skills to advocate for injured individuals in personal injury cases. His professional journey includes experience at both large and small personal injury law firms, allowing him to bring the best of both worlds to Maxey McFarland Law Firm. Clients can expect the combination of the knowledge and skill to rival any large firm and the personalized client service characteristic of a smaller firm.
