I have been a criminal defense lawyer since I graduated from law school in December of 2008. I started my career by writing motions for some of the most experienced and reputable attorneys in Nevada, and quickly learned how to effectively handle cases beginning with investigation and arrest, and ending with post conviction writs in unique circumstances. I was blessed with the opportunity, early in my career, to sit second chair and participate during jury trials where I observed, and learned from skilled and experienced trial attorneys. I passed bar exams in states throughout the U.S., and spent a decade writing complex motions, appeals, pretrial pleadings, appellate briefs, and anything imaginable for criminal defense attorneys in the Northern Nevada region. I began litigating my own cases again in 2021, and have been taking over a busy, reputable, criminal defense practice with a reputation for fighting tirelessly on behalf of persons who are likely to be treated unfairly when up against the powers of the criminal justice system.
I do not take cases for the money, and I am selective with who I choose to represent. If I do not believe that my representation of a specific client will significantly affect the outcome of his or her case, I will not consider getting involved. I believe that I am in a unique, rare, and blessed position to make a positive impacts on my community. I am not controlled by politics, quotas, or anything that influences my actions or decisions. I strive to do things for the right reason where my means are invariably ends themselves. When I take a case, I will do whatever is in my power to help my client. I enjoy practicing law, learning, and knowing that I am able to push the buttons, and pull the levers of government in a manner that may result in major, life-changing, positive outcomes for a few families. I enjoy the mountains, and love small Nevada towns. I enjoy going to courts in Nevada's rural, historic towns, and will drive anywhere
