Antonio Gastelum
Antonio Gastélum is a partner at MEG International Counsel, PC, and until recently, the principal of an independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), exclusively dedicated to international estate, business, and financial planning. Antonio is a law graduate of the Universidad de Monterrey, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He obtained his master's degree in Comparative Law and Business Planning from the University of San Diego School of Law, as well as his Chartered Life Underwriter designation from the American College of Financial Services.
Antonio Gastélum is a licensed attorney in Mexico and Texas, but not in California. In Texas, he leads the firm’s Houston office as Managing Partner.
For almost 30 years, Antonio has helped Mexican and Latin American business owners and their families protect their assets and investments in Mexico and abroad, and now in the U.S. as well. Specifically, he gets involved with the firm’s clients overall estate, business, and strategic tax planning. He also gets directly involved with his clients’ aircraft financing, maritime, real estate, business, and personal matters.
Antonio is the author of numerous articles and publications, including the first book in Spanish on international financial and estate planning titled "Planeación Financiera y Patrimonial Internacional: Guía Práctica para el Inversionista Mexicano en Estados Unidos" that turned out to be the preamble to his second book "The Definitive Blue Book of Estate Planning for Foreign Millionaires," as translated into English, which continue to be the only two books in Spanish on the subject-matter in the United States. This latest book is currently being translated into English, and should be available soon!
Antonio is also a frequent speaker and presenter, both domestically and internationally, of various topics related to international issues affecting financial, estate, and tax planning.
