Barbara I. Jones
When you need a voice, we get you heard.
Attorney Barbara I. Nelson has a rich professional background, which includes not only legal practice but also writing, teaching, speaking, military service, and founding a Christian community theater organization. She brings decades of diverse life experience to her legal practice.
She strives to be of service to her clients and community in every area of her life and sees her legal practice as a unique opportunity to be an advocate for those who might otherwise not have a voice in the judicial system. Ms. Nelson understands that our legal system is a tool, and is only as good as the people who employ it. That means those who are unfamiliar with the legal system and don’t have access to quality representation may not be able to assert their rights. She aims to provide services that close that gap and give every client the best opportunity to move forward in a positive way.
Whatever the service, Ms. Nelson works hard to connect with her client on a human level and offer support beyond information and representation. She understands that during times of crisis, an attorney’s compassion may be just as essential as his or her legal know-how.
For Ms. Nelson, that means avoiding a high-volume practice. She keeps her caseload manageable to ensure that she has the time and mental energy to fully devote herself to each client and provide the best service possible. While many attorneys are perpetually super busy and seem to have one eye on the clock, Ms. Nelson has built her practice around being able to be there for her clients, even if they just need to talk through an issue just to be confident in their decisions.
