Brian Robert Denney
BRIAN R. DENNEY is a native of West Palm Beach who received his undergraduate degree from Stetson University, where he was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award for Academic Excellence in Sociology. While at Stetson, Mr. Denney was actively involved in student affairs, serving on the Stetson Judicial Council and as Vice President of his social fraternity. A “double hatter,” he went on to receive his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law where he was the recipient of the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award.
Upon graduation, Mr. Denney joined the general trial division of a well-known statewide law firm at their primary office in Tampa, FL, where he gained experience in all areas of civil litigation, including successfully trying several cases to verdict. He was then invited to become a shareholder in a Tampa firm, where he successfully represented medical professionals and manufacturers in medical malpractice and products liability litigation, as well as representing medical professionals in Department of Health investigations. Mr. Denney brings a unique perspective to Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, PA, having defended clients in all facets of civil litigation.
Currently, Mr. Denney works with attorney Chris Searcy and focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice and products liability. Since joining the firm, Mr. Denney has tried several cases to verdict. He was recently named as a Top “Up and Comers” Lawyer by South Florida Legal Guide in 2009 for personal injury/medical malpractice. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Palm Beach County Justice Association, and is admitted in all Florida District Courts.
