Carlton Willis
Carlton Willis is licensed by the North Carolina State Bar and limits his practice to family law. The focus of his practice is child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution of marital property, issues related to domestic violence and other legal issues arising from separation and divorce. Carlton was born in eastern North Carolina and grew up on a tobacco farm where he began working by the age of six. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in psychology and communications. After working for UNC Hospitals he went back to law school and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Carlton has owned his own solo law firm since 2014. He is certified mediator for family and divorce mediation and a certified parent coordinator. He has previously served on committees to improve the family court rules, and volunteers as a mediator for family matters within the courthouse and has been appointed by the court to represent clients in child support matters, criminal matters, to act as a referee and is a previous Outstanding Volunteer Attorney. Additionally, he works as an Election Coordinator for the Wake County Board of Elections.
