Christina Anton Garcia graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in criminology and cum laude with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Florida in 2003. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2006. After graduation from law school, Christina Anton Garcia worked for nearly four years as an attorney at the law firm of Older & Lundy, where she practiced marital and family law.
In 2010, Christina joined with attorney John S. Castro to form Anton Castro Law. Her expertise in marriage dissolution, paternity, domestic violence, and other areas of family law represent major contributions to the firm. On a broader level, she combines energy, conscientiousness, and dedication with legal knowledge and experience in helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Christina Anton Garcia is a third-generation native of Tampa and is actively involved in the Tampa Bay community. Christina was recently named to the Florida Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in Florida for 2013 and 2012. Furthermore, she was nominated as a 2013 BusinessWoman of the Year Finalist by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Christina was honored as one of Tampa's top 10 Leading Ladies for 2011 and was featured in Blu magazine in recognition of her business ventures, philanthropic efforts, and community involvement. In 2011 she was invited to join the Tampa Connection class of 2012. She was selected as a 2010 Up & Comer by Tampa Bay Business Journal and was a finalist for the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce's Young Lawyer of the Year award in 2009.
Christina holds positions on the Tampa Public Safety Council and the Greater Tampa Chamber Policy Council, The Women of Influence Committee, Emerge Tampa Bay's Voice segment (chair), and was selected to participate in the Tampa Chamber's protégé program. She is an active member of the Junior League of Tampa and Tampa Connection class of 2012. She has presented on community- and law-related issues to audiences in public forums, such as the Business Transition Council of Tampa Bay and to professional organizations such as the Tampa Bay Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, where continuing education credits were offered to attendees. Christina currently serves on the board of Angels for Foster Kids.
Christina Anton Garcia is the chair of the Hillsborough County Family Law Section newsletter. She is a member of the Hillsborough County Family Law Executive Council, Tampa Bay American Inn of Court, the Tampa Gator Club, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and University of Florida Alumni Association and actively supports the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay and many other local charities.
