Daniel Reiff
Reiff Law Office
I can spend all kinds of time talking about my background and credentials, like how I graduated summa cum laude from law school, did a prestigious clerkship, and have 15 years of legal experience. But you know what? That's probably not what you want to hear about. You want to know how I can help you.
Here's how I can help you. I help you become a better parent, a better spouse, or a better business owner. I approach my work, not primarily through the lens of a lawyer, but through the lens of one who has personally had to use my legal work. I have had to personally do the estate planning for my wife when she was dying, and then I had to administer her estate. I am a business owner. I own real estate. So, when I do my work, my aim is to make you better at you want.
Because I have personally used my own services, I have changed how I practice. When I do estate planning, I do it from the perspective of a widower. My late wife died when she was 34 years old. Knowing she was dying, I did her estate planning.
After she died, I had to take care of her estate. So, when I do estate planning, it is a deeply personal thing for me, and I try to do it as one who has personally experienced it. This is not a simple thing of just giving you the correct legal forms and sending you on your way. It is about understanding what it is actually like and helping guide you through the process in a very practical and understanding way. The last memories you have of your spouse or parent are not the death bed; they come after the death when you have to put the pieces of your life back together. Until you have gone through it, it is very difficult to understand what really happens.
When I work on business or real estate matters, I approach them as one who owns his own business. The greatest legal analysis in the world is irrelevant if it isn't practical. I am nothing if not practical because I understand what it takes to build a profitable business.
