David Numrych has practiced law for more than twenty (20) years. He is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Through his practice, he is able to provide guidance on handling claims and civil suits that overlap these multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Numrych represents insurance carriers in defense of civil litigation and of workers' compensation cases. He also has represented professionals accused of negligence in malpractice cases. His experience includes the representation of national corporations with injured workers in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, involving automobile, truck, airplane, and maritime personal injury cases. Mr. Numrych also has extensive experience effectively defending medical and professional malpractice. During his career, numerous jury trials resulted in favorable defense verdicts for his clients. He has also successfully argued cases at the appellate level.
He is member of the bar associations of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and of the respective defense bar organizations of DC Defense Lawyers Association (Board of Directors 2008-2009), Maryland Defense Counsel Association, and Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. Mr. Numrych is proud to have served as Air Force Judge Advocate trial attorney from 1990-1996. During this time, he received two commendation medals and a meritorious service medal. In 2009, he was selected by the Defense Research Institute (DRI) to receive the District of Columbia State Leadership Award. He maintains a collegial relationship with many defense attorneys throughout the region.
Mr. Numrych is certified by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy as a "Master Advocate", and is rated the highest ranking of "Superb" by AVVO. As an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), he serves as a faculty member at the Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to starting his solo practice, he worked for more than a decade as "Of Counsel" to a mid-sized law firm.
