David Jafari
Jafari Law Groupwww.jafarilawgroup.com _______ David Jafari opened the doors to Jafari Law Group in 2005. His practice has focused primarily on intellectual property, business law, and employment matters. In regard to intellectual property, Mr. Jafari has helped secure dozens of patents and dozens of trademarks for various clients, including individuals and business entities. Furthermore, Mr. Jafari has represented clients in over seventy litigation cases dealing with business, employment, and intellectual property related issues. Mr. Jafari has also served as a mediator and has helped clients settle cases outside of court. He holds a Certificate in Mediation from the Orange County Human Relations Council, and is a part of the Mandatory Fee Arbitration committee of the Orange County Bar Association. Prior to establishing his own practice, Mr. Jafari worked in Washington DC for four years as an associate trial attorney in the intellectual property, media, and technology groups at McDermott Will & Emery, an international law firm with a diversified business practice. He also gained experience as an associate patent attorney by drafting and prosecuting technological patent applications for Blakely Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman, a national law firm. Previous to attending law school, Mr. Jafari received a BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Science, and an MS in Communications Engineering with an emphasis in Coding Theory from George Washington University (GWU). Mr. Jafari also speaks fluent Farsi, and his practice also takes Spanish speaking clients.
