Don Foty
Kennedy Hodges, LLP
Don Foty, partner at Kennedy Hodges, LLP, was born in Houston and raised in a small town in central Texas. In high school, he received numerous awards for his performance in the school military program and graduated summa cum laude. After high school, Mr. Foty attended the University of Texas at Austin where he studied finance and business honors--a program reserved for the top students. While working on his undergraduate degree, he also worked for a Fortune 500 company. He graduated with his B.B.A. in 2003.
After graduation, Mr. Foty attended law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, he successfully completed a legal clerkship for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas and legal internship for the Business Litigation Division of the City of Houston Legal Department. In addition, he worked as a student attorney at the University of Houston Consumer Law Clinic. He also served as a member of the Mock Trial Team and the Journal of Texas Consumer Law. Mr. Foty graduated with his J.D. in 2006 and begin working in the field of employment law.
Mr. Foty is a member of the Million Dollar Advocate Forum, a prestigious group of attorneys who have obtained verdicts or settlements larger than $1 million. He is also a member in the College of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. In 2012, he was listed in the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers, as well as the Top Attorney and Top Young Lawyer in Texas Monthly Magazine.
