Ira Rushing
Ira has unique and diverse experience as a litigation attorney in large and mid-size law firms, as a solo practitioner, and as a military lawyer. Ira focuses much of his time on the representation of military personnel and federal agents and employees, as well as private employers and non-profit corporations. Ira’s practice areas include military law, national security representation, veterans’ benefits, and labor and employment. In addition to his legal experience, Ira is certified in process improvement methods and has extensive project management and leadership experience throughout over 17 years of service in both the US Marine Corps and Army National Guard.
Ira also currently serves as a judge advocate in the Mississippi National Guard. From brigade-level judge advocate in one of the largest units in the Army National Guard to international and operations law attorney in a small joint special operations task force, Ira has demonstrated the ability to analyze and understand complex military issues and provide informed legal advice. Having spent 11 years as an enlisted Marine and Soldier before receiving his commission, Ira understands the unique and nuanced experiences of servicemembers and their families and is dedicated to their success.
Prior to his legal practice, Ira served as a Legal Project Manager and Process Engineer at an AM Law 100 firm. In this role, Ira worked with legal teams and clients to promote efficient and effective legal representation within the scope of any project. Ira’s role in facilitating the use of award-winning LPM platforms provides the foundation for planning, budgeting, reporting, and management of any type of legal engagement to produce operational cost effectiveness and unique client and legal service delivery solutions.
