Jian Micah De Jesus
Sul Lee Law Firm, PLLC
Jian Micah P. De Jesus was born in the Philippines and grew up in Miami, Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Chemistry from Florida International University. After taking a gap year to move and work at a local church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jian decided to pursue a law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law.
During law school, Jian took part in SMU's Corporate Counsel Externship Program and worked at an in-house legal department of an architecture firm, conducting legal research, contract drafting, and more. She also studied abroad in London through Southwestern Law School's London International Entertainment Program, where she spent a summer learning entertainment law, as well as negotiating and drafting international entertainment contracts. Jian simply sought to learn and grow in the areas of business and intellectual property. While she served as a Staff Editor and later Lead Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review, she wrote an article entitled, *Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Probably the Secret Codes! *, which looks at the intersection between the trade secret rights of criminal justice technologies and the criminal defendants' privileges. Her article was chosen for publication in Volume 76 of the SMU Law Review Forum in March 2023. Shortly after passing the 2023 Texas Uniform Bar Exam, Jian began practicing as an associate attorney at Sul Lee Law Firm.
When not practicing law, Jian enjoys reading at her favorite coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
