John Ngunjiri
John Ngunjiri is currently an attorney in Norton Rose Fulbright's Houston office. Prior to joining the firm, John worked for a global energy company as a capital projects contractors intelligence lead.
With over 19 years in the engineering, environmental, and oil and gas industries in various capacities and countries, John has a solid blend of skills, experiences and knowledge in capital projects and the energy space. His education, training and experiences range from capital projects management, costs and schedule estimating and controls, execution planning, contracts and risk distribution negotiations, contracts development and administration, project financing, design development, engineering management, procurement and materials management, construction and commissioning, document controls, construction safety, health, environment and security, and ESG matters.
John continued to work full-time as a project management professional while attending law school at the University of Houston Law Center. Despite this, his grit and determination saw him graduate with both a JD and LL.M within 3.5 years! He was a recipient of numerous scholarships, on the Dean's List and held leadership positions in various organizations - both at the Law Center and externally. On graduation day, John was recognized by the UHLC Faculty with the 2022 Distinguished Service Award for his dedication and contributions to the UHLC student activities and community service efforts.
