Joshua Douglas Marcum
Josh is an experienced criminal lawyer with close to 150 criminal jury trials as a lead attorney. He has personally handled cases ranging from public intoxication to first-degree murder and everything in between.
He began his criminal law career as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office just North of Detroit, Michigan. There he personally handled thousands of cases while assigned to the Misdemeanor, Juvenile and Felony Trial divisions. He later served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Michigan Office of the Attorney General and as a Juvenile Court Magistrate for Livingston County, Michigan.
Josh later received an appointment as an Assistant District Attorney for the 21st District of Tennessee. As an ADA in the Nashville area, he was assigned to the Governor's Highway Safety Grant and was responsible for all alcohol-related driving offenses in the district, including all misdemeanor and felony DWI offenses and all charges of vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.
As a prosecutor and defense attorney, Josh has handled thousands of DWI cases and has specialized training in Standardized Field Sobriety testing as well as breath and blood testing.
As a Texas lawyer, Josh served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Office of the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney in Fort Worth, Texas. Because of that hands-on experience, he knows how cases are handled in Tarrant County and knows the Tarrant County Criminal Courts.
After nearly a decade serving the public as a criminal prosecutor, Josh is now using his vast criminal law knowledge and experience to represent and protect individuals who find themselves charged with a crime.
