Rivera Employment Law’s principal and founder, Kevin Rivera, has over 10 years of experience in representing employers in all aspects of litigation, providing advice and counsel on employment law issues, and working as a workplace investigator.
Kevin obtained his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2006. He then worked as counsel in the employment law practice group at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in the firm’s Los Angeles office, where he represented and advised employers of all sizes and across industries prior to founding Rivera Employment Law.
Kevin’s practice focuses on advising, training, auditing and investigating workplaces to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. He advises employers in all aspects of employment law, reviews and drafts personnel policies and documents, investigates workplace complaints, represents employers in administrative hearings, and audits workplaces for compliance issues. His clients include those in high tech and life science industries, construction, banking, hospitality and service industries, insurance, and even other law firms.
Kevin is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators. He has authored numerous articles on employment law that have been published by organizations such as the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was featured on the cover of the March 2018 issue of Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine.
