Leslie Kyle Howell

Attorney/mediator, Leslie Howell, offers evening and weekend appointments in person or via Zoom.

Leslie comes from a bi-racial, musical family. She was a jazz singer for several years before (and after) attending law school. She has also worked for years in a corporate setting. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, but has lived in New York City, Japan and Hawaii. Her background makes her approachable and she has insight that most other mediators and lawyers may not have. This insight allows Leslie to understand, as well as creatively think, about the concerns and issues at hand.

Leslie is a collaborative divorce lawyer and family law divorce mediator in Pasadena, California and serves the greater Los Angeles area. Although Leslie’s focus is on settling cases, she continues to litigate in Los Angeles County. The fact that she continues to litigate a small number of her cases (about 5% of them) gives her insight into current judicial trends, which is valuable at settlement meetings.

Leslie offers a free consultation to educate spouses about the divorce process and options to get through it, as well as explaining her services and rates for her different services.

Leslie earned her B.A. and J.D. at the University of Southern California. She was admitted into the State Bar of California in 2001. She has attended numerous formal trainings in mediation and collaborative divorce.

  At Leslie's initial consultation, she explains her fee structure which varies depending on what kind of services you want. For instance, for amicable cases her rate is $300 per hour, and for litigated cases her rate is $400 per hour. She takes very few litigated cases and focuses her caseload primarily on amicable matters. For mediating clients, she offers a flat fee for her document preparation services, excluding the Judgment packet.
