Marjorie Mesidor
Marjorie Mesidor is a renowned attorney acknowledged for her exceptional service to clients who have experienced discrimination based on protected characteristics such as race, gender, and disability, among others. She specializes in prosecuting employment cases against both Fortune 500 companies and smaller organizations accused of discriminatory practices, including claims of sexual harassment. Throughout her career, she has achieved remarkable success, obtaining over $47 million in awards and settlements for her clients. Marjorie gained widespread recognition in 2013 for her involvement in the Johnson v. STRIVE landmark case, which established a precedent on the issue of discrimination among individuals of the same race.
Marjorie has also earned recognition for her work against the unfair impact of "poor door" policies on rent-stabilized tenants. She was acknowledged by the Office of the Public Advocate for her efforts in this regard. Her most recent triumph was securing a $2.31 million verdict in the Top 50 Verdict in New York, Labor and Employment for Sooroojballie v. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which involved a hostile work environment claim based on race and national origin. However, Marjorie's most significant impact lies in the countless cases and disputes that she has resolved privately and efficiently, ensuring her clients' privacy and anonymity preferences are protected.
