Mark Sullivan

Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, Mark has practiced law in Pittsburgh as counsel to businesses of all sizes for over 30 years. He represents business clients in transactions because the work focuses on the achievement of a future event—and all parties to the transaction work towards a common goal. His practice is fast-paced and provides him with experience in a number of industries.
Mark provides general corporate legal services primarily to owner-managed businesses, including family-owned businesses. His practice includes securities law, acquisitions, various forms of debt and equity financing, including investment crowdfunding and private placements; real estate transactions, including purchases, sales and leasing matters; employment agreements; software and technology licensing; commercial collection services; and general contract review, drafting, and negotiation.
Previously, Mark practiced as in-house counsel to a 100-employee, family-owned business for more than 9 years. Areas of service in this role included frequent consultations with management in labor and employment matters; extensive involvement with various operating contracts, including the negotiation, drafting, implementation and/or termination of such contracts; interaction with management regarding insurance coverage issues and claims reporting and management; and regular participation in analysis, including risk analysis, of various business initiatives and developments.
Mark has also represented clients in corporate finance and securities matters, including representation of issuers of debt and equity securities in both public and private transactions (including initial public offerings of equity) and public companies in continuing securities law compliance matters; acquisitions and divestitures; financing transactions (representing both financial institutions and borrowers); and the drafting and negotiation of contracts.
