Helping People Achieve Visa and Citizenship Goals.
As a small business owner, I have worked with many professionals, including lawyers. Through my experience with lawyers, I became intrigued by the highly litigious role of the attorney in our society. Like doctors who use preventive medicine to help their patients avoid sickness and disease, lawyers can help their clients avoid unnecessary hardships. Lawyers help direct their clients to prevent personal and property damage or mitigate larger losses by directing them towards the proper course of action. Like preventive medicine, preventive law is more cost-effective than going through litigation.
Most of what we really need to know in life cannot be learned or taught in school. As a builder and developer, real estate broker and mortgage broker, I bring to the table a range of life and work experiences which are pertinent to the client's needs. These experiences allow me to offer more than textbook answers. I have personally experienced both the high and low points of my life. Through these personal highs and lows, I am able to relate to people from all walks of life and am compassionate about helping the "Average Joe."
I chose business law because I have a background in business, construction, and real estate. With the recent downturn of economy, I have found that the people I used to work next to, including builders, developers, real estate investors, and homeowners, are struggling legally and financially. I realized that many of my friends and colleagues need to move on with their lives and bankruptcy was the best possible solution for them to start fresh. Thus, when I discovered this widespread need, I decided to provide bankruptcy services to my clients in order to give them the fresh start they deserve.
As an immigrant from Japan, I became interested in immigration law because I personally understand the immigration process. I went through this process to become a permanent resident and subsequently a U.S. citizen. Moreover, going through this process has encouraged my dedication to the continuation of the great American tradition of legal immigration.
I enjoy getting to know people on a personal basis. I especially enjoy helping clients work through their hardships. I realize that as humans, we often need a hope or vision to move forward in our lives. Law is the tool which I offer my clients to help them cultivate this hope and vision. No matter what their dilemma is, I always make sure my clients never leave my office without hope in their heart and a smile on their face. Having the opportunity to help clients find their hope and create a vision for the future is by far the best part of my career.
