Biography

Attorney Michaila M. Oliveira is a graduate of the prestigious Daniel Webster Scholar program at the University of New Hampshire School of Law. During law school, Michaila served as a judicial intern with the New Hampshire Family Division in Manchester, a student attorney with the Consumer Protection and Civil Litigation Clinic, and an intern with our office. Michaila focuses her practice on all areas of personal injury and family law, but is particularly passionate regarding her representation of sexual assault survivors in civil lawsuits against their assailants and the organizations which allowed the abuse to occur. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire federal and state courts.

Michaila is the author of the November 2017 New Hampshire Bar News article “Negotiating Survivor Annuities in NH Divorces” and was the prevailing attorney in Case No. 2018-0167, In the Matter of Regina Gagne and Paul Gagne, a divorce matter which was appealed to the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

Daniel Webster Scholar
University of New Hampshire School of Law
The Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program is a comprehensive, practice-based, teaching and bar licensing honors program that takes place during the last two years of law school. The program, unique to UNH Law, is a two-year bar practicum. It eliminates the two-day bar exam and in its place offers a two-year exam: Students develop their skills and judgment in both simulated and clinical settings. We counsel clients, work with practicing lawyers, take depositions, appear before judges, create basic business documents and learn to negotiate and mediate. We create portfolios of written work and videos of oral performances that are viewed by our bar examiners after each semester.
