Compassionate, experienced, and aggressive defense you can trust.Call now for a free consultation (360) 220-2676. I grew up in Bellingham and learned to practice law at one of the preeminent law firms in San Diego. I handled a wide variety of cases from citations to serious felonies and family law. I have brought that experience back to Bellingham to advocate for the rights of my clients and to ensure the most favorable outcome for my client's cases. Family law and criminal law often go hand in hand. Domestic violence charges may impact time spent with your children, or bring up restraining orders. Being arrested for a crime can signal a separation from your spouse. Since these things are often so linked, I decided to provide a full service legal solution where you do not have to juggle two attorneys, but have one person you can reach out to in your time of need. I handle each case from start to finish and work extremely hard to communicate each step of a very confusing process to my clients, so they are informed and up to date throughout their case. I offer flexible payments plans and a free case consultation. You need a compassionate attorney who you can trust with your case and your life. I provide each client with my cell phone number and can be reached whenever issues arise.

- A: Your arraignment is the first hearing in criminal court where you are put before a judge. If you have the financial means to do so, you can hire an attorney to represent you at this first hearing; otherwise, you will need to fill out a financial affidavit, as well as some personal information, that the judge reviews and determines if you are eligible to have a court appointed attorney (i.e. public defender, alternate public defender, or an attorney from the office of appointed counsel). If the judge agrees that you do not have the money to hire an attorney, he or she will appoint an attorney for you. Because this appointment does not occur until the judge says you are eligible, the appointed ... Read More
