MIRIAM A. ROSS, ESQ. is a business attorney, business advocate and community leader with extensive experience in industry, business law and compliance and governance. Miriam is the recipient of the US Small Business Administration’s 2023 Rhode Island Microenterprise of the Year. She was awarded the 2012 Women in Business, Champion of the Year for New England and Rhode Island by the SBA.
Miriam Ross & Associates, LLC. is an innovative, business-focused law firm providing creative and practical legal advice and business solutions to small businesses, women, minorities, and entrepreneurs. The firm is the trusted legal advisor for a diverse client base, working with businesses on both day-to-day and complex legal issues. Miriam is an Adjunct Professor at Roger Williams School of Law, teaching Corporate Compliance and Governance, Transactional Law & Contracts and Law & Popular Culture; and Director of RWU Community Business Law Project providing access to legal services and education to RI small businesses in collaboration with community organizations and RI attorneys.
An active and involved leader in the community, Miriam is on the Board and Vice President of the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative, and a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and former Chair of its Continuing Legal Education for 5 years. Miriam was one of seven co-chairs each of the dozen years of the Rhode Island Small Business Economic Summit sponsored by U.S. Small Business Administration. Miriam is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island, Epsilon II.
Miriam started her legal career as in-house corporate counsel at Textron Inc. as Corporate/Group Counsel and GTECH Corporation (n/k/a IGT Corporation) as Assistant General Counsel and Director of Global Compliance.
Miriam received her B.A. at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and earned her J.D. at Cleveland State University School of Law. Miriam is licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio, Michigan and Rhode Island.
