Claimed Lawyer ProfileQ&ALII GoldResponsive Law

My practice is a holistic one. Rockaway is a small exurban town. As such, a certain neighborly attitude is required which includes pro bono work, volunteerism and maintaining ones reputation as a fair, just, and equitable advocate among clients and the community. There is also time to play and enjoy doing things that are of interest. I volunteer in a local soup kitchen, shoot skeet (but not hunt), and study Americana. I especially enjoy my six grandchildren who reside nearby. I am a graduate of Boston Latin ('60), Boston University ('64), Rutgers Law School ('67), and studied ASL (American Sign Language) and Deaf culture at Union County College.
For the convenience of my clients, I may be reached 24/7 by dialing (973) 479-3794.

Legal Answers
Q. My mother wants to transfer her real estate deed to me, her son. What would be the best options and procedures.
A: Retain the services of an attorney admitted to the PR bar!
Q. I have someone who is parking in my lot in my residential property without permission. Can I have them towed?
A: Call a local towing service and discuss what remedies are available to prevent and/or cure illegal parking on your property.
Q. NJ tenant. Landlords repeatedly failed to repair/maintain. No landlord registration/certificate of smoke detector compl
A: Become proactive. Open an escrow checking or savings account. Notify in writing ( best to use certified mail return receipt required) to the Landlord that the monthly rent will be placed into the escrow account until all required repairs are scheduled to your satisfaction and are completed by licensed contractors. Be sure to make the deposit into the account by the date the rent is due each month. NJ Courts do not recognize self help. This means that the landlord can not unilaterally act to evict you. He must follow all statutory requirements. If he does to evict you, be sure to attend the court scheduled hearing. Bring with you a copy of the bank statement showing timely rent payments. Worst case scenerio would be the Court telling you to release the money to the landlord.
