Mustafa Cetin
I’m a Turkish Attorney currently practicing in Greater New York City Area.
I have extensive experience practicing in Turkey: civil and criminal litigation, ensuring compliance, drafting and advising in financial transactions and general corporate practice. My practice in U.S. so far is mostly focused on immigration especially asylum and removal defense.
I represented clients in various settings: in a small practice, mid-size practice, as an in-house counsel and as a solo practitioner. I successfully defended clients as a public defender by challenging human rights violations. I negotiated and drafted agreements as an in-house counsel of a bank protecting its interests in financial engagements secured by instruments like ship mortgages.
I am a quick learner and powerful analytical thinker. My academic background is filled with exceptional results from difficult exams. I bring to table a legal perspective that is sharpened with studies and practice both in common law and civil law. This enables me to approach issues critically and come up with novel ideas.
