Nathan A. Crane
A former Federal Prosecutor representing clients accused of criminal activity.
I am a criminal defense lawyer representing individuals and companies accused of criminal activity.
I have served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Nevada and a Deputy District Attorney in Clark County, Nevada. Because of this, I have an exceptional perspective in defending my clients.
I regularly appear in court and have conducted several felony jury trials as well as numerous misdemeanor trials. I have handled cases and appeared in courtrooms across the country including Nevada, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Oklahoma, Virginia, California, Florida, Utah, New York, Idaho, New Hampshire, and Washington, D.C. I have also argued criminal appeals before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Nevada Supreme Court.
Additionally, I represent victims of crimes including individuals seeking protective orders, and those involved in civil stalking injunctions.
I am an adjunct associate professor at the University of Utah School of Law, where I teach a white-collar crime class. I co-chair the Federal Bar Association's annual Criminal Law Seminar and serve on the executive committee of the Utah Chapter of the FBA.
My experience in federal criminal law led me to testify in a case before the Central Criminal Court in Dublin, Ireland as an expert witness. I am a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel and I'm often appointed to defend indigent defendants in federal criminal court. I am a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants. I am listed in Best Lawyers in America® in Criminal Defense: White-Collar, Mountain States Super Lawyers in the category of criminal defense, and Utah Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite.”
