Biography

I am Nathaniel Hubley, an attorney with an active involvement in the Fort Wayne area, operating from my office in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. My practice primarily focuses on personal injury lawsuits, which encompass car accidents, slip and fall injuries, product liability, and work injuries. I also handle Social Security disability cases, workers' compensation claims and employment law cases.

I am the only attorney the NE Indiana area that has experience and handles work injury, personal injury, disability and employment law matters. My clients sustain serious injuries on the job and I have the experience to represent them in their workers' compensation claim, personal injury claim, disability claim and employment law matters. No need to hire different attorneys when you can have one attorney handle all four legal matters.

I have my clients evaluated by my doctor for independent medical exams and will front the cost of the second opinion medical exam. No other law firm in the Fort Wayne area does as many independent medical exams as Theisen Hubley Law.

Legal Answers
Q. Do I need a lawyer to handle my workman's compensation claim?
A: Normally, probably not. Most workers compensation matters can be resolved informally without an attorney. The system is set up to be self-governing. This means that the employer and its workers compensation carrier has specific obligations and must abide by those obligations. Now, if you get the feeling that you are being taken advantage of, then you should consult an attorney. If you think you are not being treated fairly, I would recommend getting an attorney. Most attorneys offer free consultations and will be able to tell you what your options are and whether you actually need an attorney.
Q. Indiana Workers’ Compensation Act covers all employees for injuries arisingout of and in the course of employment.
A: Not likely. The accident that occurred outside work would not have arisen out of and in the course of your employment. A lot of times injured workers sustain aggravations to a pre-existing back problem. If the aggravation occurred at work (while lifting something, etc) then it would be covered. You also might be covered under the workers compensation act if you can establish that the repetitive nature of your job (repetitive lifting at work) caused your back injury. Contact a workers compensation attorney for more information or visit my website for additional information about work-related injuries. www.hubleylaw.com
