A veteran litigator and trial lawyer with the proven ability to:
• analyze and understand complex technologies, facts, and law;
• develop strategy and legal positions to suit the client’s ultimate goals;
• build and lead teams of legal and technical personnel; and
• communicate persuasively with stakeholders, judges and juries.
Have had more than 25 years of experience in civil and criminal court, and more than 20 years of experience litigating complex cases. As a military prosecutor and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, secured convictions in all but three of hundreds of cases handled and tried twenty-nine criminal cases to verdict.
Before co-founding the Trustwell Law Group, civilian practice focused primarily on patent litigation and other intellectual property cases, but other complex civil litigation. Appeared in more than a dozen federal district courts and before the US Patent Office, and wrote successful briefs filed in multiple federal Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
