Robert M. Worster III is a 2005 cum laude graduate of the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. He is licensed to practice in all state trial and appellate courts in the Commonwealths of Virginia and Pennsylvania. Mr. Worster is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association Circuit Court Committee. He is also a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax Bar Association, as well as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Worster has practiced family law for a number of years in Northern Virginia and handles all aspects of family law cases including support, protective orders, domestic assault and battery, military divorces, and custody disputes, including same-sex child custody disputes. He has resolved many cases through trial and mediation and has drafted complex property, support and custody agreements as well as prenuptial agreements. Mr. Worster was certified as a Guardian Ad Litem for Children by the Supreme Court of Virginia in 2009. Mr. Worster believes that the needs of the case dictate the most appropriate approach (i.e., trial, mediation, arbitration). He attempts to minimize attorneys’ fees and costs and to use collaborative and cooperative techniques whenever possible. Prior to beginning his private practice, Mr. Worster served as a prosecutor and as a judicial law clerk to Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Randy I. Bellows and legal intern to United States District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson. He also interned with the United States Attorney’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office and Rappahannock Legal Services (Legal Aid).
