Stella Ann Stevens
Griffin, Cain & Herbig Attorneys at Law, PPLC
With over 15 years of experience in both prosecution and defense, I, Stella Stevens, approach every case with intelligence, knowledge, and compassion. I am committed to fighting vigorously for my clients, much like a "junk yard dog." Understanding the immense stress that criminal charges can bring, given their potential impact on your future or that of a loved one, I handle each case with the dignity and urgency it deserves.
I proudly represent the sixth generation of my family in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in 1996. My legal education continued at the University of Houston Law Center. I began my career in law as a prosecutor at the Montgomery County Attorney’s Office and subsequently at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. During my nine years there, I handled both misdemeanor and felony cases.
The most challenging role I took on was not in the courtroom, but at home, when I decided to take a break from my career to raise my two beautiful daughters for 10 years. Although this period was immensely rewarding, I eventually felt a strong pull to return to law and defend the rights of the accused. This led me back to the legal field as a criminal defense attorney, a role that demands resilience and courage.
When I am not in the courtroom, I enjoy reading, cooking for my teenagers, gardening, and identifying bird calls using my favorite bird sound app. Despite these peaceful hobbies, I am a fierce and relentless advocate in the courtroom.
