Timothy Louis Takacs
Nationally-known in legal circles, Timothy L. Takacs is the architect of the Life Care Planning approach to elder law, which features a team of attorneys, nurses, social workers, insurance experts, public benefits specialists, and others who work together to help families deal with the personal, financial and legal challenges created by long life and disability. His innovations have transformed the way elder law is practiced in the United States. Takacs’ insights into the challenges faced by the elderly and their families have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, The Tennessean and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. He is a regular guest on MorningLine and OpenLine on Nashville Channel 5+, and was featured in Economics of Aging, a documentary produced by Nashville Public Television as part of their Aging Matters series. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Vanderbilt University School of Law, Takacs has been in private practice in the Nashville area since 1980.
