Valerie Mayzelshteyn
Ms. Mayzelshteyn is an associate at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. and practices out of the firm’s Red Bank, New Jersey office. Ms. Mayzelshteyn handles: She handles all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims.
Ms. Mayzelshteyn graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University in 2017, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in English and Political Science. Following her graduation from Rutgers University, Ms. Mayzelshteyn attended Seton Hall University School of Law on a Chancellor Scholarship, graduating in May 2020. Ms. Mayzelshteyn was actively involved in the Seton Hall Law community, where she participated in the Family Law Clinic during her last semester. This rewarding experience introduced her to the importance of advocating on behalf of clients and being sensitive to legal matters of a highly personal nature.
During law school, Ms. Mayzelshteyn also immersed herself in civil litigation by serving as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ana C. Viscomi, of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division. As a judicial intern, Ms. Mayzelshteyn conducted legal research for ongoing cases, drafted memoranda, and observed proceedings in a variety of civil matters. Ms. Mayzelshteyn then went on to serve as a law clerk at McOmber McOmber & Luber, P.C. In fact, it was this experience that sparked Ms. Mayzelshteyn’s interest in pursuing a career in employment litigation.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Mayzelshteyn served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Daniel H. Brown in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division during the 2020-2021 term. In her capacity as a judicial law clerk, Ms. Mayzelshteyn drafted orders as well as managed the motion calendar for the family maintenance (FM) docket.
Ms. Mayzelshteyn was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2021.
