Today, he exclusively represents plaintiffs, focusing his practice on catastrophic personal injury matters, product defect cases, gas explosions, drownings, 18 wheeler and commercial auto accidents. Brant is board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in personal injury trial law and received this certification within the first five years of legal practice. In 2009, Brant won the largest verdict in Texas for workplace safety and injuries (over $20 million). Brant is a board member and committee chair in the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and is a founding member of the South Texas College of Law Young Alumni Council. Brant is the former President of the South Texas College of Law Houston Alumni Association, a group with more than 15,000 members. Brant is a member in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). In law school, Brant was a member of numerous honor societies and the nationally ranked mock trial and moot court program at South Texas College of Law. Ultimately, Brant won the national championship in mock trial at the American Association for Justice (AAJ) National Trial Competition in his final semester of law school. Brant also won multiple state and regional championships in both mock trial and moot court, as well as numerous individual speaker awards. After graduating in the top 15 percent of his class from South Texas College of Law, Brant was admitted into the Order of Barristers and received the Dean's Outstanding Student Advocate Award. Since joining Abraham Watkins, Brant has helped countless clients obtain compensation for injuries and damages caused by the negligence of others.

- • Trial Experience – Obtained 20.7 million dollar jury verdict in Harris County in suit representing quadriplegic employee against his employer for workplace negligence. Verdict obtained as first chair trial attorney. 14th largest verdict in Texas in 2009. Largest Verdict in Texas in 2009 for Workplace Safety. • Successfully tried multiple motor vehicle injury cases and premises cases to jury verdict. • Successfully tried breach of contract and DTPA cases to the bench and jury. Verdict for Plaintiffs. • Successfully tried trespass to try title suit to the bench. Judgment and title obtained for client. • Tried 12 cases to verdict in first three years at firm as first chair trial attorney. • Litigation Experience – Independently managed large docket of personal injury, product liability, commercial, and first-party insurance bad faith cases from initial client contact until relief obtained, including handling most appeals personally.
