Donna L. Buttler
Donna has practiced in the Farmington Valley since 1994. She attended the University of Rochester and graduated with honors with a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry. She began a career working for Aetna Life and Casualty prior to enrolling in law school at the University of Connecticut, where she graduated with honors, third in her class. After working for a large Hartford law firm and clerking in the Connecticut court for the Honorable Michael R. Sheldon, she entered solo practice in 1997, and formed her current firm Murphy, Laudati, Kiel, Buttler & Rattigan in 2010 with offices in Farmington, Bloomfield, and Granby. Donna concentrates her practice on Family law and the issues that have led to the break down of a family including divorce, child custody, parenting plans, support, alimony, restraining orders, and premarital agreements. With her experience, knowledge, and creativity, she advocates for her client’s interests in ways that rebuild family stability and financial strength after a divorce or separation. Donna is in a unique position to advocate for her client’s because she is experienced in so many tools which can be used to bring a resolution to their conflict; including collaborative divorce, mediation, and litigation. Having these varied options to resolve your case gives you much more control over the outcome as well as the cost of the dispute.
