Eric L. Toscano
Legal Entrepreneur & CEO of Tenant Law Group, PC
I'm the CEO & Managing Attorney at Tenant Law Group, PC, a San Francisco-based law firm dedicated to justice for California renters. We help California tenants who have been harassed or forced to endure uninhabitable living conditions recover money for their losses. We represent tenants in disputes with landlords arising out of illegal evictions from rent-controlled apartments, harassment, defective conditions and repair issues, rodent and other pest infestations, floods, and fires. Law Firm 500 recognized Tenant Law Group as the 22nd fastest growing law firm in the United States in 2019 (the firm’s first year of eligibility) with an aggregate growth rate of 193%; and as the 12th fastest growing law firm in the United States in 2020 with an aggregate growth rate of 448.7%.
I enjoy running a plaintiff’s firm because we can represent people who would not otherwise be able to hire an attorney. There’s nothing more satisfying than working with single mothers, immigrant families, and individuals struggling to make ends meet. Although I now spend 100% of my time running the firm and no longer represent individual clients myself, I love that our firm actually helps people in need. That's why I became a lawyer.
Nowadays my passion is law practice management. I enjoy connecting with other professionals, particularly attorney entrepreneurs.

- Tenant Law Group is a law firm dedicated to changing lives—one tenant at a time. We help California renters who have been harassed, discriminated against, or forced to endure uninhabitable living conditions recover money for their losses. We are committed to social justice and to the ideal that all members of our community, regardless of financial resources, are entitled to legal representation. While our clients include renters from all backgrounds, we are especially dedicated to the most vulnerable renters—namely, the indigent, the elderly, immigrants, blue-collar workers, and individuals with disabilities. We believe in doing well by doing good, understand the high demand for tenant rights attorneys in California generally and in the Bay Area in particular, and therefore aim to grow our firm as rapidly as possible to serve the approximately eighteen million renters in California.

- Toscano Kellogg & Van Aken LLP was a San Francisco Bay Area civil litigation firm dedicated to seeking justice through trial advocacy for tenants, individuals, and businesses that have been harmed. Our firm represented tenants in disputes arising out of wrongful evictions, harassment by landlords, and substandard living conditions; individuals who have suffered personal injuries involving automobile, bicycle, pedestrian, and construction accidents, brain injuries, fire and burn injuries, and spinal injuries; families of deceased individuals in wrongful death cases; and businesses involved in breach of contract, business torts, and other business disputes. Our attorneys were passionate about courtroom advocacy and committed to providing our clients with exceptional legal representation. Toscano Kellogg & Van Aken LLP was proud to be a majority woman-owned law firm.
