Joseph Cannizzo Jr
Joseph Cannizzo Jr. graduated from Rutgers School of Law, Camden, in May of 2019. While attending law school, he participated in the Honorable Judith H. Wizmur Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project and clerked at the law firm of Drinkwater & Goldstein, gaining invaluable experience in the field of personal injury litigation. Having previously worked at a geriatric care community for over a decade, Mr. Cannizzo is intimately familiar with the proper standards of care nursing homes and assisted living communities are held to, and he is passionate about holding such facilities accountable in instances of elder abuse or neglect.
Subsequently, he also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, specializing in Casino Gaming Law & Regulation. While attending Boyd, he authored a peer-reviewed legal treatise entitled, “Hoagies & Hot Slots: How Convenience Store Slot Parlors Could Revive Atlantic City,” published by the International Center for Gaming Regulation.
Mr. Cannizzo is a member of the Alabama Bar and a member of the United States Federal Court for the Southern District of Alabama and the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Cannizzo was the Managing Attorney of Lento Law Group’s Alabama practice from November 2020 to May 2024.
With a personal ethos to never give up and a lifelong dedication to people and community, his passion is channeled towards advocating for individuals, families, or groups across all levels of legal services and getting results for them no matter how challenging.
