Lance Wayne Dunford
Law Firm Of Scott T. Moorey
I am a fourth generation Floridian and have always known I wanted to be a criminal defense attorney. I started my legal career as an Assistant Public Defender, where I handled over 1,500 cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
While at the Lee County Public Defender's Office I learned that no matter the charges, everyone deserves the protections afforded under the constitution and the right to competent representation.
The experience I gained from working as an Assistant Public Defender has ever prepared me for private practice. I will use that experience and knowledge of the local criminal justice system in aggressively defending your rights.
I am a defender of the constitution and agree with Scott Moorey that "Good People Do Get Arrested"!

- Q. A friend was arrested for a misdemeanor dui in Florida today. Why are they still holding him 12 hours later?
- A: Hello, I hope you have found an answer to this question- understanding it was posed a few days ago, though I am just seeing it.
The best advice I can give you, if you haven't already is reach out to a local attorney in Pinnellas County directly. They would have the most intimate knowledge as to the procedures of the jail and why there may have been a delay.
I hope this helps and your friend was able to get out soon!
