Legal Answers
Q. can i get barred from an apartment complex by false accusations
A: I had a case where my client was barred from a senior citizen residence because he had a history of not signing in. If an order barring you from an apartment complex was issued by a court with the proper jurisdiction and in compliance with procedure ( you were aware of the order and had an opportunity to defend yourself. Then you should comply with the order. After the order is issued you must comply until the order is vacated, even if the accusation on which the order was based was a lie.
Q. do release conditions ordered by court apply if you were never let out of custody?
A: Context is important to answer this question. I can see a situation where someone was being released on one charge, but was being held on another charge. If that were the case the release conditions would apply whenever the person was finally released.
Q. Can I choose who to charge in a breaking and entering case? (Washington DC)
A: If three people used force to enter your house they committed a burglary, a criminal offense. If you reported the incident to the police an investigation should be conducted. Ultimately the government will determine who is charged, and what crimes they may have committed.
