- Q. A detective said my name was implicated in an investigation. Wants me to come to the police station to answer questions
- A: Never talk to cops without a lawyer.
- Q. i am being denied my privilege{right} to drive and the dmv in Albany is using past Dwi i was sentenced and convicted of
- A: Hello - The DMV considers driving a privilege, not a right. If you have multiple prior DWI (or DWAI) convictions within 25 years, the DMV will reject your application for a license for a period set forth in 15 NYCRR 136.5. The duration of any period of rejection will be determined by the number of prior convictions, as well as other factors (such as whether there were injuries, whether you have other "serious" moving violations, etc.).
- Q. Asking from Canada: in NY what jail would a convicted person go for euthanasia? For fictional story reference. Thank you
- A: New York State does not have the death penalty, so your character would not be getting the needle here. There is still a federal death penalty, and the majority of "death row" prisoners in the federal system are held in USP Terre Haute, Indiana.
