Tara Helms
At Martin & Helms, we take your case personally!
I grew up on a small farm in Blount County, Alabama. One of my strengths as a lawyer is my ability to relate to people from all walks of life. I earned my law degree with honors from the Cumberland School of Law in 1998, where I served on Law Review and the National Moot Court Team and became the first lawyer in my family. I have been a personal injury lawyer in the State of Alabama since 1998.
I have devoted my law practice to representing and protecting the rights of survivors of accidents causing serious injuries and victims of wrongful death. I believe that the most important role for a lawyer is to fight hard and follow the course of action that is best for the client. For me, the client is always first. I understand the fact that personal injury cases can be stressful for clients and their families. With that in mind, I welcome the opportunity to go to trial, but I also settle cases if the resolution is best for the client. I work hard to make sure my clients are 100% satisfied. I have had first-hand experience with a family member who has been involved in a lawsuit after being seriously injured in a head on collision. Therefore, I have a deep understanding of the emotional impact of dealing with a client’s injury, as well as how difficult and stressful a personal injury case can be for clients and their families.
I have represented injured individuals and their families in a wide range of injury and wrongful death claims, including car and truck accidents, workplace accidents, accidents resulting from defective construction, products liability and defective drugs, and medical-related cases. I am devoted to working with injury victims and their families during their time of need. I have represented hundreds of individuals within the State of Alabama, as well as across the United States and have won millions of dollars for injury victims.
