Karen works with small business clients on Bainbridge Island, Seattle, and Kitsap County. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Washington, the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Karen is committed to supporting clients’ needs, while ensuring that business needs drive solutions. Karen has substantial litigation, employment, social media, and commercial transactions experience. She is a frequent speaker on social media issues. Karen’s legal background and creative problem-solving enable her to evaluate, create, craft, and execute business deals. She has built both legal departments and businesses, and has transformed simple ideas into successful ventures through her leadership and communication skills. Karen has specific experience working with individuals and companies addressing their legal and business issues. Her focus remains on helping you succeed, particularly in the areas of commercial transactions (licensing, contracts, third party distribution), employment (hiring, firing, disputes), social media (policies), and litigation. Based in Bainbridge Island, she lives her life based on the principles of honesty, integrity, and loyalty, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others. In her spare time, Karen volunteers teaching children to read through the Rolling Readers Program at Suquamish Elementary. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the Washington State Bar, Senior Lawyers’ Section; the Washington Women Lawyers; AWARE (Association of Women Attorneys with Real Experience); Kitsap Bar Association; Bainbridge Business Connections; Bainbridge Business Women; and the Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce.
